At D. Lawrence Drinks & Cigars, we want to build a business that considers its environmental impact and makes practical improvements over time.
We’re still developing our approach. We’ll be clear about what we can influence and avoid making environmental claims we cannot support.
Packaging and fulfilment
Our orders will be packed and dispatched by a fulfilment partner. This means we will not directly choose or handle every box, protective insert or packing material used.
We intend to discuss packaging choices with our partner, including opportunities to reduce unnecessary materials while keeping glass bottles and other products protected.
Packaging may vary depending on the products ordered and the protection they require. We cannot currently promise that every shipment will be plastic-free or use fully recyclable materials.
Protecting products and reducing waste
Suitable packaging helps prevent breakages, damaged goods and the need for replacement deliveries.
Our aim is to balance product protection with avoiding unnecessary packaging. Where practical, we’ll raise opportunities for improvement with our fulfilment and delivery partners.
Clear product information
We aim to provide useful product descriptions so customers can make informed choices.
Where we share a producer’s environmental claims, we’ll seek supporting information and make clear which product or practice the claim relates to. We will not assume that terms such as “natural”, “craft” or “premium” demonstrate environmental benefits.
Reusing and recycling packaging
Please reuse packaging where practical and check your local recycling guidance before disposing of it.
Different materials may need to be separated, and recycling facilities vary by area. A material being technically recyclable does not mean it is accepted in every household collection.
Improving as we grow
As the business develops, we intend to review:
- Packaging options with our fulfilment partner.
- Ways to reduce avoidable damage and replacement shipments.
- The environmental information available from suppliers.
- Practical changes we can make and verify.
We’ll update this page when we have confirmed improvements to share.

If your order arrives with packaging you feel is excessive or difficult to recycle, let us know. A photograph and your order number can help us raise specific feedback with our fulfilment partner.
